A review suggested that after centenary concerts in 2010 marking Gustav Mahler’s birth, further concerts were planned in 2011 to mark the centenary of his death. “I had no idea,” said a reader, “that he was such a prodigy.” It was the 150th anniversary of the composer’s birth that was marked in 2010.

A piece described customers in a supermarket west of Edinburgh catching sight of a politician they recognised – “the tall, white-haired one with the glasses”. This was indeed Alistair Darling, the local MP and former Labour chancellor, but he was not wearing glasses that day.

The Post incorrectly attributed a quote to Toni Braxton in an article published on March 25. Braxton did not say: “I have a big-ass house, three cars and I fly first class all around the world. Some say I have the perfect life.”

An article about health drinks compared them with lemonade and cola and said that a 500ml bottle of Coke contained 35g of sugar. In fact it has rather more – 53g. The article was headlined Sweet stuff: Let’s not kid ourselves. Some so-called health drinks contain more sugar than a bottle of Coke. The updated figure means this assertion is no longer supported by the piece.
